Witches at Gardner Village

On Monday, the kids had early out day, so we headed up with some friends and neighbors to Gardner village to visit the witches. I have never been before and it was a lot of fun. They go all out with their witches and the kids love it. Here is a group of all the kids. Crazy thing is, their was only 3 moms for all these kids (they didn't all belong to us, we invited some friends, just to say we were a little out numbered.)

Kenna's Birthday

The Birthday Girl--The big "4"On Kenna's actually birthday, we went over to the Kangaroo Zoo. It is a huge warehouse with a whole bunch of inflatble toys. We loved it and the kids had a blast. We met Denny's mom and sister there so they could join in the fun.Afterwards we headed over to Applebees to celebrate some more. The workers there sang to Kenna and she got embarressed, but really liked it. We love our little girl and am so happy she is in our family. Aunt Alesha and Kenna.

Dallin and Grans.

We had a great day. Kenna got a whole bunch of Polly Pockets, or as she calls them "Holly Pockets" that is all she wanted. She got some other Princess stuff from both grandparents. She was in heaven.

Kenna's Dance

The Day she has been waiting for has finally arrived....Kenna started her ballet!!!! She has been telling everyone for months that she gets to do ballet and how she can hardly wait. We were able to pick out a pretty leotard for her and she was ready to go. So loves it. She does tap as well. Her only struggle is listening to the teacher when she just wants to do her own little thing.

September Birthdays

On the 12th of this Month, my family celebrated the September birthdays, which included Lydia, Kenna and my sister Laura. Dave made a rainbow cake and I made "Peggy's Delight" for Kenna and Laura. I can't believe my baby girl is 4. She just keeps getting prettier and prettier. Lydia and Kenna excited to blow out the candles.
Pretty good action shot of them blowing out the candles. So much fun.

Mysterious Bite

Kenna woke up and her forehead looked a little swollen. As the day went on it got bigger and bigger. It lasted for a couple of days. There was a little red bump, looked like a mosquito bite, but it wasn't red around it or wasn't tender at all to the touch. It didn't bother her at all, but it did look strange. Her forehead was swollen and then it came down in between her eyes on the bridge of her nose. It took me off guard when she looked at me because it just didn't look like her. Thank goodness it's back to normal and that it wasn't more serious.

Island Park

Over Labor Day weekend, we were able to go up to Island Park to our friends Tom and Cortney's cabin. There were 5 families that we knew in Iowa that were there. There were the Murdoch's, Nevilles, Vranes, Kimballs and us. It was so fun. We headed up there on Friday afternoon and came home on Monday. It was fun to catch up with friends and let the kids play like crazy. The Sleeping Arrangements-The BOYS (Isaac and Dallin)And the GIRSL- Julianne, Lydia, Lexie, Kenna and Jocelyn. Lexie, Dallin and Evan headed up to the look out point.
We went clear up this Mountain that just wound back and forth. We were above everything around us. It was actually really cool and windy up there, but it was beautiful.Don't worry, He didn't fall. While were were there, we celebrated Holden's birthday. Here is all of the kids minus 2 (Jantzen and Kayson). There's Rachel, lydia, Lexie, Jocelyn, Dallin, Isaac, Ashlyn, Adalyn, Holden, Evan, Kenna, Julianne, and McKenley. We were talking about when we started out at Palmer, there was a total of 3 kids. What a difference a few years can make.Evan enjoying the worms and dirt for dessertDallin, Lexie and LydiaThis was after Trevor and Katie left, but here are the Palmer guys that were left. Denny, Dave, Tom and Brian. SO fun.On our way out we stopped by Mesa Falls. From the road you would have never guessed they were there, but you went on a little hike on the trail and came to this. They were really pretty.

Dallin Starts School!!!

It's official, Dallin is in school. This morning I was woken up at a little before 7:00, with Dallin at my bedside asking me if I could cut off the tags of his new school shirt. He had laid out his whole outfit the night before. He was ready, but school didn't start until 9:15. He was nervous about eating breakfast because he didnt' want to be late. I had to show him how long we really had until we had to go. Cute boy. Here he is in his new school clothes with the traditional picture in front of the door. We all got ready to go because we live so close to the school that Dallin will either walk or I will drive him to school. Today we put even in the stroller and walked him up for his exciting day. Evan was already in the stroller when I decided I wanted a picture of all 3 of them, so taking him out of the stroller did not make him happy.
On a side note, I got Kenna some new curlers and absolutely love them. She sleeps in them and I literally pulled them out this morning and pulled up the top. So cute.
I had to get a happy picture of Evan, so we came to him in the stoller.
Dallin walking up to the school. We could barely keep up with him he was so excited. He picked out his book bag and everything. He just looks so little.Standing outside of his school getting ready to go in.
Dallin and his #1 supporter. She was so excited for him. I LOVE this picture.
Evan wasn't sure where Dallin was going, but was just excited to be able to go on a walk.
As soon as Mrs. Riggs opened the door, Dallin was ready and didn't look back once. His little blond head and blue shirt kind of stick out in the sea of kindergartners.
Me, being the nerdy parent, went to the window and looked through to see where he sat down. His back was toward me, but he turned around and saw me. I thought he might be embarressed, but he just smiled really big and waved. I blew him a kiss and he returned it. I thought I need to take advantage of this time that he's not embarressed by his mother, I have a feeling it will end soon. I peeked in the back door before his classed started and got a little picture of him sitting at his table.
This is him after school coming out with his "School is Cool" hat that he made and cut out and colored himself. He was searching for me and he just lit up when he saw me. I asked him what he did today and he said "I had a lot of Fun". I'm so happy he loved it and can't wait to go back tomorrow.
Since Daddy has to work late tonight, we decided to meet him for a special lunch. Ever since Dallin learned that there was a restaurant named like his Mommy AND Daddy, he has wanted to go to Denny's. We let him choose on his special day, so Denny's it was.

So happy you loved it and I hope you will always love school as much as you did today.!!!!
