Madison, Wisconsin

This last weekend, Dallin, Kenna, my mother and I drove up to Madison to visit my cousin Darrin and his family. We had so much fun and the slide show that follows in the next post is all of our pictures from it. Denny takes boards this weekend and was in review on Thurs and Fri night and all day Saturday, so he wasn't able to come. We drove up on Thurs, only 2 1/2 hours away and came home on Saturday. Darrin and Stephanie were great hosts and I'm so happy we made this work before we move.

My mom was able to stay for Mother's day which was nice because Denny was in review from 8-4 that day. With that said, he still made me his famous "whole-wheat banana walnut pancakes" for breakfast and came home and made me an amazing dinner of roast chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies. Topped it all off with waffle cake with apple struesel and ice cream. I got some new running shoes for Mother's day and have a month from today to break them in for the triathlon. I love being a wife and feel so blessed to be Dallin and Kenna's mom. I love my life.

Check out my Slide Show!

Sleepy Kids

The following pictures are of Dallin trying to stay awake. It was late in the afternoon and he's at a stage that if he doesn't take an earlier nap, he usually doesn't take one. I didn't want him to fall asleep so I gave him some fruit snacks. He was still falling asleep so I kept telling him to take a bite. This is him trying to eat and sleep at the same time. Needless to say, I lost this battle.

Usually they really enjoy our morning runs and stay awake the whole time, but I guess it was just too relaxing. I thought it was cute how they were in the same position as each other.

The Kids Gym

We got a membership to the YMCA and the one down town has a fun kids gym in it. It has been really nice for cold and rainy days. You will be able to see the ball pit is the favorite, but it has a lot of tunnels and things to climb on.
Dallin and Kenna climbing up the rope ladder to get to the slide that goes down into the ball pit.

Hanging out with mom.
Kenna jumping/falling into the ball pit. She is fearless and my little adrenaline junkie. I like that she will try new things, but I would also like if she was just a little cautious.

Dallin and Isaac playing king of the mountain.

I asked Kenna what she was playing with and she held one up so I could see, how helpful.

I love this picture because you can see that there a lot of kids around her playing, but she just seems to be relaxing and enjoying herself.

Hooray for Warm Weather!!!

We are so excited for warm weather and being able to play outside. Dallin and Kenna would live outside and it's been hard to do anything around the house because they are always wanting to be outside if they are awake. We have a lot of kids their age that live close and it seems that every afternoon that is warm, we are all outside.

I love this picture of Kenna. It shows her crazy hair really well-poor thing gets the frizziness from her mother. I love her eyes in this picture- those thanks to Daddy. I would like to say those are cookie crumbs or something on her face, but honestly I think it's dirt.
This is Kenna's Best friend Jocelyn. I don't know if it's because we already have so many "girly-girls" around here or what, but when these two get together, it's all about dirt and rocks. We try to tell her there will be no belly shirts, but she still does what she can to show off that belly. She loves to push her stroller, with or without a baby in it.

The "Reading Pit"

Once Dallin found out that his bed was actually a bunk bed like his cousins, he would not leave us alone about making his bunk beds. We weren't going to do bunk beds until we moved, but he talked us into it and it has really been fun. Kenna is definately not ready to be in a big girl bed, (even though she is as old as Dallin was when we moved him over) so we made a reading pit underneath Dallin's bed. He loves it and we read our stories everynight under there. Here a couple of pictures with Grandma Kimball trying out the reading pit with Lydia and Isaac.

Easter Sunday

Here are a few pictures all ready for Easter Sunday. Kenna's outfit I have had for awhile and couldn't wait until she could wear it. I love blue on little girls.
My handsome little boy. He is seriously the sweetest boy. I can't believe how much of a little boy he is now and how grown up he seems.

We weren't able to get a picture of our whole family, but rather in shifts. The kids have a hard time focusing and I'm sure with any other kid. I love my family and am so blessed to have them.

Easter Activities.

HAPPY EASTER!!
This is Saturday Morning before Easter (We write the Easter Bunny and ask if he can come on Saturday instead of Sunday). Dallin help me make their easter baskets and was pretty proud. This is a perfect picture of Kenna's "Morning Hair-do"...CRAZY!!! Dallin had been wanting Sunglasses for a while, so I think he wore those the rest of the day.
Kenna trying to break into the candies. She couldn't understand that it doesn't taste quite as good with te wrapper still on it.
Later that morning we had a big easter egg hunt with all of our friends that live close by. Here they are all lined up. (Kenna in front with the red sweatshirt and Dallin right by her with red pants.
And their off!!! It was really cold that morning, but they didn't seem to mind too much.
