Catching up
Seeing as I haven't posted at all since we moved, I know I have a lot of catching up to do. Please excuse the large amount of post at one time, but Denny just barely down loaded all of our pictures since after we moved. I will try and do better to keep up.
Happy Birthday Kenna.
I can't believe my baby girl is 2. Where does the time go? What a blessing Kenna has been to our little family and the fun addition she has been. She definitely keeps us on our toes, but we love her even more for her spunk and personality. It has been so fun to see her grow into the little girl that she is. We had a little party for her with cake and ice cream. She has been carrying around her dolls ever since.
Opening presents.
I am so grateful for my kids!!
Dallin sharing with Kenna his halloween costume.
I love to look at my kids and just think how grateful I am that they are mine. It can be very stressful at times, but most of the time I can just sit back and be entertained for most of the day. They are becoming better and better friends which is so fun to watch. I can't believe how much I love being a mother and what a blessing it is that I was entrusted with them. I love you Dallin and Kenna. Thanks for making me so happy and for all the smiles and laughs.
The Hogle Zoo.
A couple of weeks ago, we were able to go to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. We will be seeing a lot of that zoo because we bought a pass. My kids love it so much and it's a fun outing for us.
Fruits and Veggies
Cherry Hill Reunion.
The first part of August was my family's reunion up in Cherry Hill. We all went up and camped for 2 nights. They have swimming pools and slides. The kids loved it and was fun to be able to hang out. Dallin and Kenna saying "CHEESE".
Some of my nieces and nephews being silly.
Cousins
My brother Brian and his family were up to visit in August and stayed at my parents so we were able to hang out with them a lot. Here we are with all the kids feeding the ducks.
Happy Anniversary
On August 2nd, Denny and I celebrated our fifth anniversary. I can't believe it has been five years already, but at the same time, I can't imagine my life without Denny in it. I just wanted to thank Denny for all he does and the amazing husband and father he is. I am so blessed to have him forever. Happy Anniversary!!!!
So, I didn't know this before but apparently every anniversary is represented by something. Like 50th is Golden and so forth. Well, Denny found out that 5 years is wood. He made me this amazing sign. He came up with the idea and design and with a little help from my mom and sister you can see how great the final project was. If you can't tell what it says on the top it is "Life's greatest pleasures are measured in small amounts" So, you mark on here your kids every year and how they have grown. I thought it was pretty clever of him to come up with this and very impressed that he kept it a secret. (probably because I was forbidden to go into my parent's shed for a couple of weeks, so I knew something was going on.)
Summer FUN!!
Marianne's brother and sister-in-law came down from Idaho to visit and brought their little ponies to share. We loved going over and the kids loved to get rides. I wasn't sure about this first combination, Dallin leading Isaac, but the ponies were very well behaved and they all did well.
Dallin's turn on the pony.
Kenna absolutely loves horses of any kind. She rode the entire time we were there and we still had to get her off kicking and screaming.
This is Dallin when we were able to go to Thanksgiving farm with Denny's brothers and their families.
Here is Kenna loving every minute of the pony ride.
Kenna so excited to see the cows and the animals.
We went to a little part of a river that wasn't too deep or fast moving and had a little fun to try and cool off from the summer sun. Kenna preferred to be in her diaper.
I know, it looks like a little doll, but that in fact is Kenna getting thrown from Denny to his brother Rob. As much as I don't like it, the Mack brothers love to do it and surprisingly, Kenna was loving it.
Random Fun Pictures
This is Kenna's first time going through the automatic car wash. She was really nervous when the water was passing over her window. As much as I felt bad for her, I couldn't help but take a picture.
Dallin dressed up like this all by himself. He came running out and told us that he was Grandpa. Why? I don't know, but we thought it was cute.
This is Dallin and Kenna's first experience with popcorn popping out of a hot air popper. Before this, we had only done microwave. As you can see from their faces, they were pretty impressed.
4th of July
I guess I didn't take a whole lot of pictures on the 4th of July. We had a fun day that we started out with attending the parade in Provo. Here is Dallin and Kenna watching the parade. After that we were able to go up the canyon and have a reunion with my Mom's side of the family. Most of my cousins were there that I haven't seen for awhile and it was fun to catch up. Later that evening we went over to Denny's brother's house, Rob and Jenny and enjoyed a barbeque followed by some very impressive neighborhood fireworks.
Here is my brother Danny sitting with Dallin and Kenna and a couple other of my cousins kids at the parade.
Four wheeling
So, once again I have put off updating our blog so this is my attempt to get caught up again. Sorry for all the post. We have been in Utah for 3 months now and it's been nice to be back closer to more family and enjoy the mountains, but we sure do miss our Iowa home and friends. Soon after we got here in June, Grandma and Grandpa Kimball took us for a ride up the canyon to enjoy their four-wheelers. As you can see, my kids love it.
